Days 1-8

The first week of this long journey ahead of us wasn't as terrible and painful as I thought it would be. I told myself I'd journal to get through each day since that's what worked when Cody (my husband) went off to basic training and AIT. But With Oliver (our son) being almost four months and requiring practically all my attention, I had little to no time during the day and no energy at night after he fell asleep. I did, however, manage to journal once. That went well, but it took me about an hour and a half to write a page and a half in a normal sized personal journal... So I decided yesterday that a blog would be easier. (I'd journal on my laptop, but it's not as fun or interactive.) Everyday, I'll post an entry. Or two. Or three. Depending on how I'm feeling of course and how much time I have.

Hopefully, this blog will also act as a "baby's first year" blog. More like "baby's next eight and a half months." : P So not only will you get to watch as I go through life as an army wife and grow stronger emotionally, but you'll get to see Oliver grow and reach milestones day after day. I'll be posting pictures and I'll have plenty of stories for you so keep checking back cause there'll always be something new!
